Silcarb continues to expand its portfolio of advanced thermal processing equipment with several large-scale industrial systems currently being manufactured and shipped from its Bangalore facility. These systems are designed for industries that require precise thermal control, high reliability, and consistent performance in demanding environments.

Recent developments include a 16-tonne melter, a 1250°C electrically heated bright annealing furnace, and a high-pressure autoclave for nuclear fuel cell production.

16 Tonne Industrial Melter Dispatched

A 16-tonne melter has been completed and is being shipped out from the Silcarb plant. Industrial melters of this capacity are used in high-volume metal processing operations where consistent melting performance and energy efficiency are critical.

Key features of large-capacity melters include:

  • uniform heat distribution for efficient metal melting
  • reliable operation in continuous industrial environments
  • robust refractory and structural design for long service life
  • optimized thermal efficiency for reduced operating costs

High-capacity melters are widely used in metal processing, die-casting operations, and industrial manufacturing facilities.

Electrically Heated 1250°C Bright Annealing Furnace

Silcarb is also manufacturing a 40-foot electrically heated bright annealing furnace capable of operating at 1250°C. Bright annealing furnaces are used to heat metals under controlled atmospheres to prevent oxidation and maintain a clean, bright surface finish.

These furnaces are commonly used in the processing of:

  • stainless steel components
  • metal tubes and sheets
  • precision engineering parts
  • specialty alloys used in industrial and aerospace applications

Electric heating systems provide precise temperature control, stable thermal conditions, and a clean heating environment, making them ideal for bright annealing applications.

Electrically Heated Autoclave for Nuclear Fuel Cell Production

Silcarb has also engineered and built a high-pressure autoclave capable of operating up to 400°C, specifically designed for nuclear fuel cell production processes.

Autoclaves used in advanced manufacturing applications must meet stringent requirements for:

  • high pressure operation
  • precise temperature control
  • structural integrity under demanding conditions
  • consistent process performance

These systems are critical in industries such as nuclear energy, advanced materials, and high-precision manufacturing, where controlled thermal and pressure environments are essential for achieving the desired material properties.

Silcarb’s Expertise in Industrial Thermal Systems

With decades of experience in high-temperature engineering, Silcarb designs and manufactures a wide range of industrial furnace and thermal processing equipment, including:

  • aluminium melting furnaces
  • annealing furnaces for metal processing
  • high temperature ceramic kilns
  • industrial shuttle kilns
  • research and laboratory furnaces
  • specialized autoclaves and pressure systems

Each system is engineered to deliver reliability, energy efficiency, and precise temperature control for demanding industrial processes.
